About Five Horizons

Five Horizons Health Services (FHHS) is a nonprofit community-based organization that provides services to West Alabama and East Mississippi. Founded in 1988 as West Alabama AIDS Outreach (WAAO), the agency’s original mission was to provide HIV-related outreach and prevention services to West Alabama.  Since that time, the agency has expanded to include a variety of services for populations in need of specialized or general care. FHHS strives to provide high-quality, patient-centered medical, prevention, testing and case management services. With a team of highly-qualified staff, a diverse board of directors, and community partners, Five Horizons is positioned to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of citizens in West Alabama and East Mississippi.

FHHS has a full-time staff member occupying a satellite office also known as a "Safe Space' in the heart of West End and directly across from Stillman College. They are dedicated to building relationships, supporting, educating, and testing, linking, and referring students and community members to treatment and care.

This site will also house a community space which will allow for 3MV, Nia, and SISTA intervention groups.
